Transportation

  • Airport Guide (Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station)

The distance from Incheon International Airport (Terminal 1) to Seoul Station is approximately 60 kilometers. It takes 43 minutes by Airport Railroad Express (AREX) and approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. All means of public transportation accept cash, credit card, and transportation card (T-Money, NAMANE Card, etc.) that you can purchase at the airport.

⓶ Airport Limousine Bus

Airport Limousine Buses have 14 routes that travel between Incheon International Airport and various areas throughout Seoul. You can hop on an Airport Limousine Bus and get to a destination within Seoul on a single ride. Bus tickets can be purchased at the ticket office outside Gate No. 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 or 13 on the first floor of Terminal 1 or at the bus terminal in the Terminal 2 Transit Center (B1 floor). You can pay with either cash or credit card at the ticket office.

⓷ Taxi

There are standard taxis, premium deluxe taxis, international taxis with foreign language services, and large deluxe taxis (limousine taxis, jumbo taxis) that are 7- to 11-seater minivans (including the driver). Standard taxis and deluxe taxis can be found at the taxi platform outside the waiting area of Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2. To take an international taxi, you need to make a reservation in advance. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit cards, and transportation cards.

  • Foreigners entering the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and visa prior to arrival
  • Passport expiration date must be over 6 months from the date of departure
  • Nationals of visa waiver or visa-free countries may enter the Republic of Korea under the premise that they visit for tourism purposes only
  • Visitors that are required a visa must apply for one based on the purpose of visitation
  • Entrants with a visa waiver must apply for K-ETA and receive approval 72-hours prior to departure

Credit Card

Credit card payment is widely used and accepted at most businesses in korea, including major hotels, department stores, and general establishments. Visa, MasterCard, American Express and other credit cards can be used; however check the service availability before making purchases as some stores may not provide this service.


Electricity

The standard voltage in Republic of Korea is 220 volts and 60 Hertz.

Bringing in portable batteries over 160Wh is prohibited (purchasing within the Republic of Korea is permissible)
